Election history of the current Lok Sabha members

The current Lok Sabha is the oldest since Independence, with an average age of 57.5 years. Despite this fact and contrary to what one might be inclined to believe, more than half of the current Lok Sabha members are first-time electees. Even though the average age of these newcomers is lower at 54.4 years, they still do not adequately represent the 25–40 age group.
